Four measures dealing with changes to Missouri’s ethics laws are on their way to the Senate. The House gave overwhelming majorities to each of the four bills Thursday, which among other changes will require future lawmakers to wait a year after leaving office before becoming a lobbyist. Columbia Democrat Kip Kendrick voted in favor of the measures, but says they’re baby steps to true ethics reform. He notes that he would have preferred a longer cooling-off period.
