School-Based Telehealth Services Enabled

Rep. Kendrick is very pleased to announce that today Governor Nixon signed SB 579 into law.  With his signature, Gov. Nixon further enabled school-based telehealth, an initiative on which Rep. Kendrick has long worked. SB 579 is a major update to the telehealth statute in Missouri. School-based telehealth is an important part of this legislation allowing physicians to seek reimbursement for telehealth provided in PK-12 schools. This rewrite of the telehealth statute will expand access to healthcare throughout the state, especially in under-served areas where access continues to be a major concern.

This bi-partisan effort should serve as a reminder of what can be accomplished when Republicans and Democrats work together for the good of the people.
